MA#3 Activity 3: Research Source report.

The genres I chose to present my work were Infography, Personal memoir, and newsletter. I have used photos and small captions on my infography and my news letter, but the personal memoir is bit different. For, the personal memoir, I typed a paper couple of pages long sharing personal experiences I have had in my life about the topic.Since i wrote a paper on abroad topic, there are many recent news which helps be make my points.

Sport isn’t secret, so everything that happens within the team is out publicly and how fans are reacting to certain things of players or club is all out there. Covering the reaction world wide is impossible, but you can still get the idea of how the sport community is doing. It’s easier to find news and what’s going on because players personal life is the only thing that’s secret, but the rest is out there.

To show how a game can connect people together or how a sport isn’t just a sport, I used a video from Youtube. It shows people reacting to a live game between Juventus FC vs Real Madrid. You can see the tense on the fans and the reaction includes reactions at the bar, home, streets, everywhere. People doesn’t only take sport as sport, it’s family for them and they’re in it together and they’re willing to defend it from anything if they have to.

For other source, I interviewed one of my high school coach, and some players to get their opinion on my topic and also what they think of sport. As if they take it as a community or it’s just nothing but people just gathering to play the sport and enjoy it. Their response helped me go further with my paper and my work.

MA 3. Activity 2: Audience Strategy.

  • There could be more than one way you can attract larger amount of audience to notice your piece of work. One of the way it can happen is, you could keep the audience in your mind while writing or creating your work. You could use genre as a audience grabber. Such as, you could research into the genre that’s the most popular and create your piece based of that genre.
  • You could also pick the audiences based on the requirement of your project. The way that works is, if your project requires a a work based on certain group of people, than you cannot target different field of work. For Example: if you’re suppose to write a paper that talks about language barrier and how foreigners have to go through trying to fit into a different country, than it will have set targeted audience (foreigners) because they can relate to what you’re expressing through your work.
